General information

This website uses cookies. A cookie is a small text file that is stored in the user’s browser and allows to record data about web pages and the browsing activity. This site uses some “first party cookies” (created and used by the site) as well as “third party cookies” (created on our site by third parties). Cookies allow us to show the user tailored content according to the options he/she has selected and to navigation. Cookies assist the user in understanding what approach to take on our site, in order to enhance efficiency in his/her navigation. Cookies can only store text content which however is always anonymous and usually encrypted. This site will never store any personal information in a cookie.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files created by the websites the user browses and store the session data that could be used on the website at a later time. Data allows the site to store the user’s information between pages the user has already viewed and also to analyze the way he/she interacts with the site. Cookies are safe and secure. They can only store information supplied by the browser regarding either the access to the browser itself or information is included in the page requested by the user. They can neither be converted into codes nor be used to access your computer. If a website encrypts the information in the cookie, only the website itself can read that information. There are two different types of cookies, Session and Persistent ones. They are used for different reasons and contain different information. Session Cookies contain information that is used in your current browser session. These cookies are automatically deleted when you close your browser. No information whatsoever  is stored on the user’s computer after the browser is closed. Persistent Cookies are used to store information every time the user accesses a website and as he/she navigates between web pages. This data allows sites to recognize the user as an already known customer or visitor and adapts accordingly. Persistent cookies have a duration that is set by the website and that can vary from a few minutes to several years.

Why use cookies?

Cookies are used by the site to save the user’s  session, as he/she browses on  the site keeping his/her movement within the site itself, as well as keeping track of the details of his/her reservation and whether he/she has entered the system through a particular  procedure. They are used to display important elements of the user navigation. Analytical cookies of our partner Google, allow us to outline the interaction between the customer and the site. This is a precious tool that allows us to improve the site, the products and services we offer.

Closed and deleted Cookies

All web browsers allow the user to either limit or disable cookies through the browser options. For each browser different actions have to be taken. The user can find instructions in the help menu of the browser. Through the browser the user can view the cookies that are on his/her computer, delete some or remove them all. Cookies are simply text files, so the user can access them and read their contents. The data contained in them is often encrypted, or has a numerical key corresponding to a web session. So, often, they only make sense to the website itself. If the user turns cookies off, the site might not be able to perform some functions which are needed to record information. By disabling cookies, the user makes the computer stop downloading the browsing history on the site, however, he/she will not block the analytical activity and tracking code, therefore the user visit will be recorded.

What creates cookies?

The session cookies that this site keeps track of include the data exchanged by the web server during the user session, the user authentication session state and the details of his/her registration. Persistent cookies that are created by this site are used by our technology partner Google. Cookies help the website analyse web traffic or recognize the user’s device regarding returning or new visitors. This information is stored and could be used for advertising campaigns based on the user’s interests. Deleting these cookies would not affect in any way the user’s interaction or the functionality of this website.

Cookies from technology partners

This site uses Google for website and advertising analysis. The data contained in cookies informs Google about which pages the user has visited as well as the products and services he/she searched for. Consequently it allows to send the user advertising according to his/her preferences and interests. Google uses both persistent and session cookies. Cookies do not store personal data. Deleting or disabling these cookies would not affect the functionality of the site.
